Colour Me Uninspired

Written by
Becky Baxter / Conal O’Donoghue / Shauna McGarrity / John McNulty / Dan O’Donoghue

A song about inspiration; a song about losing inspiration; a song about taking things for granted.

This is yet another work-in-progress number; so no video or audio clips at this time.

It’s a bit of a theme piece that started out from contrasting “tickled pink” with “colour me unimpressed” … which then mutated to become “Colour Me Uninspired”: a song about inspiration, a song about losing inspiration and a song about taking things for granted.

The theme continues through the lyrics that explore a range of common expressions and descriptions that rely upon colour (itself a small irony given that the writer is largely colour-blind) and weave them into a story about taking inspiration for granted and ending up bereft: a song about inspiration, a song about losing inspiration and a song about taking things for granted.

Another feature of the song is that each chorus, while following the same pattern, is actually different from the preceding one.

Check back from time to time to see how the song develops: clips will be made available as soon as realistically possible for this song about inspiration; a song about losing inspiration; a song about taking things for granted.
