Coming For Me

Written by
Becky Baxter / Conal O’Donoghue / Shauna McGarrity / John McNulty

A song about insecurity; a song about insanity; a song about paranoia.

Another song with disturbing content, about an uncomfortable subject and that owes more to rock than to blues.

A sinister and slightly malignant tone is set from the start by a heavy, and heavily distorted, bass line followed by a jarring lead melody and rapid staccato drumming: all intended to depict a confused and disjointed brain operating at a thousand miles an hour. A deliberately strident vocal completes the picture for a song about insecurity, a song about insanity and a song about paranoia.

The musical picture of an unsound mind caught up in an unhealthy cycle is completed by a discordant solo designed to highlight the degeneration of the thought processes. It all adds up to a track that it is perturbing and disturbing in equal measure: a song about insecurity, a song about insanity and a song about paranoia.
